Leads are people you want to reach on LinkedIn. You bring them in by adding a single LinkedIn profile or uploading a CSV file. Every import belongs to a lead list, which keeps customer, recruiting, partner, or other outreach groups separate in your CRM.

Prepare your CSV

Your file must include these three columns with exact header names:
ColumnRequiredNotes
first_nameYesLead’s first name
last_nameYesLead’s last name
linkedin_urlYesFull profile URL, e.g. https://linkedin.com/in/janedoe
linkedin_sales_navigator_profile_idNoOptional Sales Navigator profile ID for InMail campaigns
companyNoUsed as {{company}} in message templates
headlineNoUsed as {{headline}} in message templates
locationNoUsed as {{location}} in message templates
Example row:
first_namelast_namelinkedin_urlcompanyheadlinelocation
JaneDoehttps://linkedin.com/in/janedoeAcme CorpHead of GrowthNew York, NY
Optional columns become available as placeholders when you write campaign messages, so including them makes your outreach feel more personal. If you plan to use Sales Navigator InMail campaigns, include linkedin_sales_navigator_profile_id when you have it. BriskReach can also try to resolve Sales Navigator IDs from LinkedIn profile URLs during InMail campaign creation.

Choose a lead list

Before adding a single lead or importing a CSV, choose a Lead list. You can select an existing list or create a new one during import. Use a list name that matches the outreach group, such as Q2 customer reachout or Recruiting outreach. Later, the campaign builder lets you choose that list in the Audience step.

Import steps

1

Go to Leads

Click Leads in the left sidebar.
2

Choose a lead list

Select an existing lead list or choose Create new list and enter a new list name. This is required for new imports.
3

Select your CSV file

Choose your CSV file from your computer and upload it. BriskReach validates the headers before proceeding.
4

Import the file

Click Import leads. BriskReach validates the headers, adds new leads, and reports duplicates.
5

Leads appear in your list

Imported leads show up in the Leads table immediately under the selected list. From there you can filter by list or add the list to a campaign.

Trial accounts can store up to 50 leads total. Upgrade to a paid plan to remove this cap.
Duplicate leads are not created again. If an existing lead is imported into a selected list, BriskReach can add that existing lead to the list and reports it separately from newly added leads.
InMail campaigns only assign untouched, eligible leads. Leads that are already assigned, already contacted, replied, or not resolvable through Sales Navigator stay unassigned in the CRM.
